ASAP Automation Is Now Bastian Software Solutions
Company Change In Name Only
Louisville, Ky.—ASAP Automation has announced that the company's name is officially Bastian Software Solutions as of January 2012. The move is intended to improve the company's market reach, as well as it work with its sister company, Bastian Solutions.
"The ASAP Automation name change is only that—a name change. All the company's services and products are unaffected," said Damir Kantardzic, president of ASAP Automation. "We are excited about the new name, as it will enhance our recognition in the marketplace."
ASAP Automation was founded in 1989 and developed software solutions for material handling systems. The company was a forerunner in using PC-based software to manage warehouse operations. Over the years, the company also specialized in interfacing to automation technologies, including Pick to Light, Pick to Display, and Voice, as well as controls such as sortation systems.
In 1997, Bastian Solutions (then Bastian Material Handling) purchased ASAP Automation. The blend of the two companies enhanced both companies' market presence. ASAP brought its expertise in supply chain software and controls, while the Bastian team had project management and system design experience. The two companies proved to be the perfect pairing.
"Bastian and ASAP have worked as a team for many years," Kantardzic said. "The name change will strengthen both our brands and help better present our services and solutions in the market."
